The mark consists of two black ovals with a white band between them with the words "AMERICAN BOARD OF" appearing in blue in the top of the band, two large blue dots on each side of the band and the words "WILDERNESS MEDICINE" appearing in blue on the bottom of the band; inside the inner oval is a landscape with a light pink sky at the top; under the sky are two mountains, the left one a light blue with a white top, the right one a darker blue with a white top, the white tops indicating a snow covering; behind the left mountain is an orange circle partially hidden by the mountain indicating the sun; to the left of the sun is a small single dark blue line drawing indicating a bird in flight; the lower half of the inner oval is green with a blue river running from the base of the mountains to the bottom of the interior oval; in the green portion are six pine trees of various sizes in darker shades of green, five on the right side of the river and one on the left side of the river; in the center of the interior oval; in front of the background landscape and in the center of the interior oval is a gold staff with a gold snake wrapped around it forming a caduceus; at the bottom of the interior oval are the words, in white letters, "ORGANIZED 2011".
