Mark Description:
The mark consists of the stylized lettering "BIG SUR FIRE" and "ESTABLISHED 1974" within rectangular boxes overlaying a shield. Within the shield shape there is also an image which consists of a tall lone redwood tree which extends beyond the shield shape and is in the forefront of a mountain range that contains smaller far off trees and runs along the highway. The right side of the highway shows a steep terrain that leads to the ocean where there are waves and rocks. Above the ocean, a lone hawk is flying with its wings outstretched. The black background behind the shield and rectangles is background area which is not a part of the mark.
