Mark Description:
The mark consists of a solid circle with a double row of laurel leaves bordering the circle. Inside the circle is a background of a rising or setting sun located in the middle, approximately one-third the distance from the bottom of the circle, with its rays issuing forth to the edges of the circle. On the left side is a banner which reads "ORDER OF SAINT MAURICE", and on the right side is a banner which reads "NATIONAL INFANTRYMAN'S ASSOCIATION". In the center of the circle are two figures, a Roman centurion on the right reaching down from a ledge and a figure on the left wearing a lion covering, kneeling reaching up. The Roman centurion is helping up the figure by grasping forearm to forearm. The figure is holding a Roman standard bearing the symbol of an eagle and the Roman centurion is holding a spear and shield and has a short sword on his side.
